Two-Bit Collage could be described as a minimalist approach to creating a collage. Generally a collage is made up of a variety of combined images to produce a completely new picture. With a Two-Bit Collage the artist will use only two separate visual elements to create and communicate their intention. The process is a kind of exercise to train the brain to make precise links between two images, not merely juxtaposing pieces but in order to create a specific viewpoint or feeling, a type of allegory in storytelling. As with all my collage the process is often playful and yet at times hit a serious note. For me this way of creating a collage is a pure way of seeing and thinking without the added complexity of emotions and judgements found in human nature.
