From 2018- 2019 I was in the process of selling our home in New Jersey and renovating a new home in South Philadelphia. All our belongings along with my art supplies were placed in storage. My husband and I were doing all the work ourselves leaving me little time or energy for anything else, but I knew to keep sane I needed to make art. A friend shared an article of an interview with photographer, mixed media artist Stephen Sheffield who in 2017 resolved to create one new piece of art every day for a year and post them on his blog. This concept intrigued me so I embarked on my own personal year-long project entitled “365: A Collage A Day” where I posted a newly created collage on my Instagram site, never missing a day. I found collage making to be an unfettered method of art making for me. The process is spontaneous and carefree. I knew then I wanted to continue to learn and experiment with collage and add it to my artistic repertoire.
